How to Setup a File for Print
Having your file print ready is key to getting your product done right and completed on time. Here are our guidlines for setting your digital file up for print.
Files types accepted - tiff, png, jpg, pdf, eps, ai*, psd*. All ai files must be sent with all text either embedded or outlined. All files must be sent with rasterized text.
File specifications - All files we print are the dimensions of the print(we will use a standard 4"x6" postcard as an example)plus an additional .25". So printing a 4x6 would mean you would send us a 4.25"x6.25" at 300dpi. Any files sent below 300dpi will be rejected.
File bleeds - "Bleed" is a printing term used to indicate the area with a background image that will be trimmed off after the job is printed and cut down to the finished size. We require you leave all of your text and information a full .25" from all the edges of the file. If you go past this .25" bleed line your text will either get cut off or be close to the edge of the cut and look unprofessional.
